The Best Deals on Great Wolf Lodge Williamsburg, VA and Charlotte, NC Fall 2018

We've said for years that we wanted to go to Great Wolf Lodge when our children were younger, but we never quite made the plunge. Now Groupon has September - October 2018 deals on 17 Great Wolf Lodge Resorts throughout the US, including Williamsburg and Charlotte, so this may be the perfect time for us to finally go. Before we plan a trip, though, I need some advice from those who know... 

1. My children are 11 and 13. Are they too old to really appreciate this themed hotel and water park? Or are you ever really too old to enjoy this? 

2. There are great deals on Groupon right now for both Williamsburg, Virginia and Charlotte, NC. We are pretty much equal distance from each of those locations. Do you have one Great Wolf Lodge that you would recommend over another?

Property at a Glance

The heart and soul of Great Wolf Lodge is its 79,000-square-foot indoor water park. Splashy rides such as the Howlin’ Tornado—an enclosed water slide that shoots you through a six-story funnel—and a zero-depth-entry wave pool with 3-foot swells surround the park’s iconic hub: a four-story treehouse with a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket. Younger kids will have a blast with the water slides and gentle spray features of Whooping Hollow and Cub Paw Pool.

The water park, which hovers around 84 degrees all year long, isn’t the resort’s only family-friendly activity. You’ll also find mini bowling at Ten Paw Alley and Scooops Kid Spa, complete with ice-cream-sundae pedicure chairs.
