Flowers Fit for An Easter Feast
Flower arrangments made from flowers, plants, and shrubs from your own yard can make the prettiest floral arrangements. This arrangement was waiting for me on my doorstep when I arrived home a few nights ago. My neighbor Vilma Pambid not only has two green thumbs and grows a most beautiful garden, she is also very thoughtful and generous. I love the flowers. They are beautiful on my spring table.
Want to make an arrangement for your own table? Make the most of what grows in your yard. If you don't have flowers in your yard, get creative with branches, twigs, and vines, and anything else natural that you can find. Keep in mind that your flowers and other natural elements do not need to be confined to a vase. Branches can be laid across a mantle, vines can be strung over bed posts and curtain rods, flowers and vines can be woven into wreaths, decoratively dangled from chandeliers, and can fill hurricane lanterns and decorative bird houses. When setting your formal table, tuck flowers with stems into your napkin rings or place card settings. If giving a hostess gift, tie one or several stemmed flowers into the ribbon on top. For every plant and flower that grows in your yard, there is a unique way to display it inside your home. Do you have any great ideas or photos or your floral projects? Please share them!
